Installing indicators

Where indicator files belong in MT4 and MT5.

Indicators belong in the Indicators directory, not Experts.

MT4: File → Open Data Folder → MQL4 → Indicators.

MT5: File → Open Data Folder → MQL5 → Indicators.

Copy both the source and compiled files, then refresh Navigator → Indicators.

Indicators generally do not place trades. Confirm the product type in MetaEditor if the listing is marked Utility.
