Understanding MT4 and MT5 Expert Advisors
What Expert Advisors are, how they differ from indicators, and what to check before enabling automated trading.
An Expert Advisor (EA) is a program that can place, manage, or close trades in MetaTrader when AutoTrading is enabled. An indicator typically draws analysis on a chart and does not trade by itself.
Trenexcite listings classify products from the supplied product documentation. If a listing is marked Utility, the supplied files did not confidently identify an EA or indicator type — confirm the type in MetaEditor before use.
EAs run on the chart and timeframe where you attach them. Settings, symbols, and broker conditions affect behaviour. Do not assume an EA is compatible with every broker, symbol, or MetaTrader build.
Always review inputs, lot size, stop-loss, and trading permissions on a demo account first.
